‹Dorothy F. Ludwig, age 90, of New Castle, Delaware passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2016.
‹Born on April 29, 1925 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine Smith.
‹She was the beloved wife of the late John B. Ludwig; loving mother of Cathy A. Ludwig of Hopatcong, NJ; dear sister of Gerald Smith, Barry Smith, Laverne Leslie, and the late Richard Smith, Robert Smith, Donald Smith and June Smith, and was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
‹Dorothy was a devoted member of Hope Lutheran Church. She served on the board of L.C.W. for the Tri-State Area and was treasurer of Jobs Daughters Bethel #2. She was a proud supporter of Toys-For-Tots. Most of her life was devoted to volunteering and helping children, who loved her very much.
‹A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon, March 11, 2016 at Hope Lutheran Church, 230 Christiana Road, New Castle, DE 19720. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
‹In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church at the address above or to the Toys-For-Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
