Born April 4, 1937

Agnes J. Keller, known affectionately as “Aggie”, age 77, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2014.

Aggie was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 4, 1937. She made her career as a paralegal, working for various firms in Cherry Hill, NJ and Fredericksburg, VA, and retired after many years of dedicated service.

She gave of her time and talents by offering pro bono legal estate planning to those in need. Aggie was a woman of grace and beauty, who was instantly liked by anyone she met. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and shared a special relationship with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

Aggie is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Robert Bob Keller; son, Frank Laughlin and wife Dianne of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Colleen Ooten and husband Joseph of Plainfield, IL; daughter, Erica Keller of New York City, NY, sister, Dorothy Lai and husband Donald of Philadelphia, PA; and 6 grandchildren, Amanda and Ethan Laughlin, Mason Rodgers, Daniel Ooten, Olivia Keller, and Helena Grace.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday morning, May 16, 2014, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where family and friends may visit from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Aggie’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market Street, Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

    Though I only met Aggie a couple of times she was a truly a lady of charm and grace.

  • I worked with Bob for about 10 years at NG and in those 10 years I met and spoke with Aggie several times. Once I met her I knew why Bob loved her so much. She was very attractive, funny and dedicated to him. Things change as life advances but love endures.
