Albin J. Wolski

Born October 29, 1928

Albin J. Wolski, known fondly as Al, age 86, of New Castle, DE and also of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Monday, October 19, 2015.

He was born in Chester, PA on October 29, 1928 and was the son of the late Vincent and Mary (Tront) Wolski. Al proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He made his career with Phoenix Steel where he worked in maintenance, retiring after 38 years of dedicated employment.

In his younger years, Al loved vacationing with his family in Wildwood, NJ and more recently, he and his wife, Laura had spent their winters in Naples, FL where they shared many happy times. He enjoyed polka dancing, bingo, shuffleboard and traveling in his leisure time. Al adored his loved ones and especially looked forward to family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather and will be very dearly missed.

Al is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Laura A. (Jastrzenski) Wolski; sons, Albin R. Wolski of New Castle, Stanley Wolski and wife, Ruthann of Wilmington and Vincent D. Wolski of New Castle; sisters, Marie Kaniefski and Jane Bugara both of Chester, PA; grandchildren, Linc, Nicole and Christopher; great granddaughter, Ava; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Thursday evening, October 22, 2015 and again from 8 am until 8:30 am on Friday morning, October 23, 2015 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Friday morning, October 23, 2015, at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, Garfield Park, New Castle, DE. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Al’s memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
