Anastasios G. Nastatos, known to his friends as Nick or Taso, departed this life on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Christiana Hospital, while surrounded by family and close friends.

Born in Sami, Kefalonia, Greece, he immigrated to New York during his early 20’s. He later made his way to Delaware where he resided for over 30 years. Nick was an expert painter by trade and enjoyed putting his real estate skills to the test.

He was a kind, gentle, hardworking, and caring person that gave so much to others and expected only that the receiver pay it forward to another in need.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Georgios and Anggeliki Nastatos and his brother, Nikos of Greece. He is survived by his sister, Kathy, and other relatives from Greece. Nick is also survived by his children, Anthony Nastatos, Kristina Nastatos, and Alex Whilby-Nastatos (Shayla); two grandchildren, Nathan and Mable May Samuels; close friend, Jacqueline Whilby-Rice; dog, Dolyi; parrot, Shamrock; and numerous friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private.
