Anita J. Germak, age 95, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2014.

Dolly was born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 13, 1918, and was a daughter of the late Mateusz Janicki and Teodosia Domanska Janicki. She worked as a secretary for the Delaware Curative Workshop in Wilmington, retiring after many years of dedicated service.

A devout Catholic, Dolly’s faith was of great importance to her. She was a true social butterfly who relished outings with friends. Dolly was happiest in the company of her beloved family, especially her great grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading the NY Post, writing poems and spending time with her faithful canine companion and miniature Dachshund, Beau.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pino Germak, 7 siblings, son, Martin Germak and her daughter-in-law, Joanne Germak. She is survived by her sons, Mark Germak of Bear and Michael Germak (Sandy) of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Mark Germak (Ashley), Michelle Ulloa (Ray), Manette Hitchens (Patrick), Angela Racine (Bruce) and Sarah Germak; 10 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday morning, September 5, 2014, at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 801 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
