Ann H. (Curtis) Howard

Ann H. (Curtis) Howard, age 85, of Wilmington, DE and formerly of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Ann was born in Chester, PA on January 2, 1932, and was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Lewczyshyn) Curtis. She was a talented homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her family.

Ann was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in New Castle. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling, camping, crocheting and making crafts.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank H. Howard III; daughter, Toni M. Howard; sister-in-law, Carole Curtis; and grandson, Joseph Dominick. She is survived by her daughters, Linda A. Moffett (Harry), Ruth A. Howard and Denise E. Sterlicchi (Guy); son, Frank H. Howard IV (Jennifer); brother, John Curtis; sister, Fran Oberhoff (Jim); 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation for the exceptional care provided to Ann during her stay there.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 11 am on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.
