Anna Jean (Renchy) Schwalbauch

Anna Jean (Renchy) Schwalbauch, age 71, of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017.
Born in Baltimore, MD on July 9, 1946, Jean was the daughter of the late Ernest and Vista (Geller) Renchy. In addition to caring for her family, she worked for many years at the Independence School, where she served as assistant director of the daycare and taught cooking lessons at the school’s annual summer camp.
Active in her community, Jean gave of her time and talents by assisting her husband with many of his Boy Scouting activities. She enjoyed making crafts of all sorts and playing cards with her family in her leisure time. Above all else, Jean was happiest in the company of her loved ones and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Schwalbauch. Jean is survived by her son, Carl Derek Schwalbauch.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday morning, September 18, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. Services and interment will be held privately.
