Barbara Judith Fels, age 51, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

Barbara was born in Mexico on December 6, 1965. She made her career as a paralegal for a number of years. An avid animal lover, Barbara was passionate about advocating for homeless animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Faith L. Fels and former husband, Christopher A. Fels, both of Newark.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday morning, September 16, 2017, at the White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 15 Polly Drummond Hill Rd, Newark, DE. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the American Red Cross, 100 W. 10 th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

  • To my beautiful sister from another mother, Barbara Fels, who was tragically taken from us too soon. She was a beautiful soul. Everyone who met her loved her. She was a wonderful mother to Faith and she will be sorely missed by us all.
