August 6, 1922 - February 25, 2018

Beatrice E. George, age 95, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Evergreen, AL on August 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Salters) Zellers.  Beatrice retired after many years as a housekeeper at the Riverside Hospital in Wilmington.

Always active, Beatrice enjoyed trips with the Rose Hill Senior Center.  She also loved to play bingo.  She cherished the time spent with her family and friends and will be remembered as beloved mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Andrew C. George, son Horace Zellers; and daughter, Loretta Favre.  She is survived by her son Christy George (Shirley) of Leesburg, FL; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, followed by a funeral service at 10 am. Interment will be held in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beatrice’s name to Alzheimer’s Association, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE, 19805.
