Benjamin F. Quill
Mr. Benjamin F. Quill, age 61, of Newark, DE, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Christiana Hospital.
Mr. Quill was born in Wilmington on May 9, 1948, son of the late Joseph A. and Maria A. Quill. He was a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School and proudly served his country as a 2nd Lieutenant in the National Guard. A machinist by profession, he made his career with Amtrak in the Wilmington Shops, where he retired in June 2008. Beloved husband, perfect father, a brother and generous friend, he will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, JoAnn Nice Quill; daughter, Ashley E. Quill; brothers, Joseph, Robert, and Richard Quill; sisters, Emily Quill, M.J. Quill, and Rose Guerra (Richard); father-in-law, Joseph G. Nice; brothers-in-law, Gary Nice (Dawn) and George Nice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Florence L. Nice.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Cedar and Clayton Streets, Wilmington, DE.
