Betty J. Miller, age 92, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
Born in Waycross, GA on October 27, 1923, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late John and Erma (Weber) McKinney. She was a talented homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. Over the years, Mrs. Miller served as a foster mother to 31 children, providing a safe and nurturing environment to them. She enjoyed sewing in her leisure time. Above all else, Mrs. Miller will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald R. Miller. Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Suzanne Staudt of Newark, DE, Jeffrey Miller of Bear, DE, Phyllis Clancy of Glasgow, DE and Christopher Miller of Kissimmee, FL; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Services and interment will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
