Betty Sue Kirk

Betty Sue Kirk, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017.

Born in Arkadelphia, AR on May 25, 1931, Betty was the daughter of the late Oscar and Edith Walker. She worked as a credit card processor for the former MBNA, retiring after many years of dedicated service.

A woman of strong faith, Betty was a longtime member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church in Wilmington. She was a past member of the Jayceens. In her leisure time, Betty was an avid sewer and enjoyed painting. She was happiest in the company of her beloved family and will be very dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred Nash and Robert, Charles and Paul Walker. She is survived by her children, Stanley Kirk (Elena) of Bear, DE, Nancy Bentley (Randall) of Elkton, MD and Patricia Tricia Nally (Patrick) of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Cameron and Christian Bentley; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am to 11 am on Wednesday morning, January 11, 2017 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will be held at at 11 am. Interment will follow in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Newark, DE.
