Brenthia A. Burchard

Brenthia A. Burchard, age 73, of Salisbury, MD and formerly of Port Penn, DE, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
Born in Chester County, PA on September 30, 1940, Brenie was a daughter of the late James Burchard and Sara Hester Zacheis Sullivan. She was raised by her grandparents, the late Albert and Bessie Ellis Zacheis, with whom she shared a close and special bond.
Brenie remained a child at heart throughout her life. She took great joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially loved hearing the laughter of children. A kind and gentle heart, Brenie will be dearly missed by her beloved family.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry G. Burchard and his wife Ruth Ann. Brenie is survived by her nephews, Glen Burchard (Tina) of Ringgold, GA and Scott Burchard (Vickie) of Salisbury, MD; sister, Florence Brown of New Castle; great niece and nephew, Steven and Rebecca Burchard; and several cousins.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 11 am on Saturday morning, September 13, 2014, at the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn, DE.
