  • To say we miss you already does not convey the feelings we have, and the sorrow at knowing you will no longer be there for our long chats. You became a best friend at work so many years ago, someone we knew we could always count on, for friendship, understanding, affection and frequently a good laugh.
You will be missed by so many of us, but you will not ever be forgotten.
Love you, Brian. You were very special.

  • Brian was a true catholic “Gentle Man” that I had the privilege of sharing our experience of growing
up in South West Philly at St Clements, Finigen, West & LaSalle.
Brian was an old altar-boy who still knew the response to : Intro Alter Dei
Brian was not big, but he was a “scrapper’ who gave his best and was always a true friend he will be missed.

  • There’s one word that stands out in my childhood and it is “McCann.” Uncle Bri and Aunt Cass were my second family. I was at their house constantly. I have countless memories and loved them dearly. They were a huge part of why I had the best childhood friends ever. Uncle Bri you will be sorely missed.
    Love,

  • My sincere condolences to the McCann family on the loss of your father, brother. I only met Brian once at a birthday party for brother Paul, but he made you feel at ease. My prayers and thoughts are with you all as you cope with Brian’s passing. God Bless You All.

  • Poppy will be sorely missed. He was one of a kind who loved his family, his faith and his favorites! He was a playful, good humored grandfather who shared his knowledge generously with Ella and Jude. We made many beautiful memories in times of great joy and great sorrow. He owns a special place in my heart for the dedicated care and infinite love he lent in Tom’s time of need. He was my father in law, my jousting partner and my friend. I will miss him dearly and know he will guide and inspire us all from above. Rest peacefully Poppy. All my love, Lori

  • I can honestly say that the Godly example Mr Brian McCann set when I was a teenager played a huge roll in the path I took when I got older and how we chose to raise our family. We will be forever grateful for his witness to God’s love.

  • Earth lost a wonderful man and Heaven gained an Angel.
Jesus said “Love one another as I have loved you.” Brian lived that verse every day he was with us.
He had love for his wife “Cassie”, his children, grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, other family members and neighbors.
Life was always upbeat and positive with Brian. I count myself fortunate to have known such a man. He was truly blessed. To the McCann family I say weep not, for Brian will live in our hearts, and dwell in the House of our Lord and Savior for ever and ever.
May our Lord be with us, dwell in our hearts, and comfort us for ever. In Jesus name we say Amen.

Brian David McCann: “Well done good and faithful servant…..welcome home….”

A true Christian man.I could always count on your prayers and Nuge could always count on that phone call on Veteran’s Day or any day you felt the need to thank him for his service. I will never forget that you were jealous of me when Mom brought me home as a baby to Massey St. I think you told be that every time we were together 🙂 Now you are with all those that have gone before you. Give them all a hug for me. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. RIP Uncle Bri. Love you
    Your favorite niece. …Trish

  • Dad: Thank you for saying “yes” to my request for your daughters hand in marriage. That started this wonderful journey being welcomed into your family by you and Nan. You know Kate and I truly enjoyed all the times at our house:swimming, watching movies, sunday dinners with your sons families and grandchildren.

I loved that you and I shared our Catholic faith together by our endless debates and discussion on Aquinias/Constantine/ The Papacy and Greatest Popes/Saint Catherine etc. You always offered me an insight or angle I had not thought about before. For this I was greatful and also that you and I got to spend so many Saturday evenings attending Mass together at St. Katherines. Kate and I love you and will miss you. We are very glad though that you are in Heaven with Nan, your parents and siblings. Rest in Peace.
