Brian L. Duckworth, age 51, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
Brian was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 21, 1962 and was a son of the late Rufus Duckworth and Irene Knotts Duckworth. He was a graduate of both Hodgson Vo-Tech and Delcastle High Schools. Brian made his career with National Decorative Distributors, retiring after 25 years of service.
A true animal lover, he shared a special bond with his pets. Brian was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be remembered for his gentle, kind nature. He will be dearly missed.
Brian is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sheree Lee Prickett; brother, Jim Duckworth (Patti); children, Lauren (Matt), Megan (Steven), Andrew and Jason; and granddaughter, Aubrey.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday morning, September 20, 2014, at the Ogletown Baptist Church, 316 Red Mill Road, Newark, DE, where family and friends may call from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will be private.
