Bryan Keith Abner

Bryan Keith Abner, age 52, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 13, 2016.

Bryan was born in Trenton, NJ on November 4, 1963, and was the son of James Abner, Jr. and Francene (White) Abner. He made his career as a shipping and receiving clerk with Polymer Technologies in Newark where he was employed for the last 3 years.

Bryan was an avid fisherman with a big heart and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a beloved son, devoted husband, loving father and brother and dear friend.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, James Abner, Jr and brother, Vernon Abner. He is survived by his mother, Francene Abner of Trenton, NJ; wife, Jessica (Rickard) Abner; children, Davon Abner of Philadelphia, PA, Xavier Thompson and Jessica Patterson, both of Newark, DE; sisters, Monica Leverett of Manassas, VA and Ettona Carter of Virginia Beach, VA; three nieces and one nephew; and three aunts and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, March 21, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
