Burkhard Juergen Noack, age 77, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

Born in Landsburg Warte, Germany on December 15, 1937, Burkhard was a son of the late Willi Noack and Frida (Pahl) Noack. He was an orthopaedic technician with Alexander Orthopaedic Company for 30 years and retired from Wackenhut Security in 2004.

An avid music lover, Burkhard enjoyed singing and played a variety of instruments including the drums. He was an enormous fan of the game of soccer, having played in his younger years. Burkhard was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed taking on new projects and was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family. In his leisure time, he liked watching old Westerns. Above all else, Burkhard was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather who was happiest spending time with his loved ones and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Klaus Noack. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara (Oakley) Noack; sons, Robert V. Pearson of New Oxford, PA and Mark A. Pearson of Smyrna; brother, Peter Noack of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Karen Kappler of Germany;4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday afternoon, October 1, 2015 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm. Interment will be held privately.
