Carla J. Moxley-Campbell
Ms. Carla J. Moxley-Campbell, age 45, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011.
A native Delawarean, Carla was born in Wilmington on March 5, 1966. She made her career as a registered nurse and had been employed with the Masonic Home of Delaware in Hockessin for many years. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua parish in Wilmington.
Well known for her creativity and artistic talent, Carla delighted especially in drawing and painting. She enjoyed caring for animals throughout her life, but was always at her happiest when spending time with her beloved children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson B. Moxley, Sr., and a brother, Johnnie Moxley. She is survived by her children, Samuel P. Campbell, Alexandra P. Campbell, Benjamin C. Campbell, and Noah A. Campbell, and their father, James Campbell, all of Hockessin; mother, Gertrude E. Moxley of Newark; brothers, W. Bryan Moxley, Jr. (Desi) of Newark, L. Scott Moxley (Robin) of Galena, MD, and Mark J. Moxley of Newark; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Monday, June 20, 2011, at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Ninth & DuPont Streets, Wilmington, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will be held privately.
