Carla M. Michels, age 46, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and formerly of Newark, passed away on November 23, 2015.

Born in Wilmington on September 20, 1969, Carla was a daughter of John Michels and Apostle Carol (Munden) Michels-LaCorte. She made her career as a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Bear.

In her leisure time, Carla enjoyed movies and jigsaw puzzles. She was a talented artist and enjoyed charcoal and pencil drawing. Carla loved the beach, especially crabbing. She was known as The Crab Lady by friends and family. She was a huge fan of the action hero, Wonder Woman.

Carla is survived by her parents, John Michels of Milton, and Apostle Carol Michels-LaCorte (Samuel) of Newark; children, Michael Noll, Jr. (Elissa) of Delaware City, Andrew Noll of Wilmington, and Kyle and Tyler Noll both of Newark; sisters, Rena Noonan (E.J.) and Jamie Hinchliffe (Joe) both of Newark; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Kellin Noll; and nieces and nephews, Michail, Joshua, Ryan, Jaslynn, Jianna, and Joeli.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12 noon. Interment will follow in Delaware City Cemetery, Clinton Street, Delaware City.

  • I remember how she loved to work in the nursery at church,she loved kids and they loved her. She had a beautiful smile and a warm personality. Whatever struggles she had in life it is all behind her. We will mourn for awhile but now she is with her loved ones eternally.
