7 Condolences for Cecelia L. (Corondi) Schaeffer

  • Cecelia (Mom) touched so many people’s lives and enjoyed welcoming people into her home preceded by her ongoing zest for placing the many decorative items especially appealing to all. She always offered a hug, kiss, or other affection in her warm personality when arriving or leaving her home. Her family and friends were very important to her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and goodness shared with others. She was often found in photos at her front door inviting someone in and saying so long until we meet again. Her smile was a treasure to behold and did not waver even as her life became different as she became older. Her value of making every day on earth more special than the day before will live on through her close knit family and friends. She often shared how she was the last sibling of five who lived through the decades being proud of living her longevity very much in the attributes of her eldest sister, Mae, who became was a real “mother” to her after loosing her mother at the young age of four.
We deeply miss her kind words of wisdom, presence and offering an ear to listen by helping others.

Love to all of her dear family and friends

  • We will miss the many happy times we have had with Cel (Cecelia) over the many years. We will miss her very friendly and outgoing personality. We will miss her baking and cooking, especially one of her specialties, pineapple upside down cake, which we haven’t had for some time. To all of her family and friends, we share in your sorrow and are sorry we can not be with you in this time of grieving.
The Schaeffer;s of Utah and Wyoming.

  • Dear Linda and Family,
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Your mom – such a sweet, caring loving woman. (I so enjoyed being in her company). May God bless you and your family with His all encompassing love, comfort and grace during this most difficult time. God Bless!
    With Love and sadness,
    Rosemary, Ron and Kaila

  • To Linda and her family,

I am wishing your family all good memories of your mother’s life. I always enjoyed hearing of her activities and how she cared for her family and pets. She raised good people and I am certain she was proud of each of you. It was sad to her of her passing, after what seemed to be a recent healing. I do know that being a devout worshiper and believer, she has found comfort.

Linda, know that you and your family will be blessed for your constant care, consideration and love.

  • Nanny,
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I will miss you. So much of my childhood was spent just spending time with my Nanny. I will miss her famous Michigan Rock cookies. I feel like a huge part of our family has been lost. She was the strongest most loving woman. I know she’s with our Pop Pop in heaven but we celebrate the years we had with you and mourn your loss.

I love you so much Nanny

  • We are all heart broken that our Nanny, our Cecelia, our matriarch is not here. Thanksgiving was not the same, but she would be proud of our attempt.

She is not in pain, not worrying over doctors and pill bottles and a body that was slowing despite her unfleeting ZEST for life and living, and hosting guests and sharing joy. We know you are with God in heaven, with PopPop and Bobby and Matt and Mae- may it be a perfect place and we pray you see us from heaven and smile down on us and somehow let us know how to LIVE life fully without you guiding the way.

She was the most loving grandmother, taught me to be polite and kind and how to play “hearts” and make cookies. More recently, she listened to every phone call, every tribulation, and supported and loved and worried and loved us all with her whole heart. She attended every family gathering she could, and remembered special baked goods to make for loved ones, and rejoiced in loving on her family, from big hugs and kisses and hand rubs to us big ones to tickling and playing patty cake with the babies. She hand wrote cards with special lines for us every year. There will never be a home more warm, and full of love, and tangled with sweet memories than Nanny’s.

Oh, you were larger than life. May God help us find the way to honor your legacy and carry on all that you have shown us about family and love and being there for each other and raising smart confident children without you alongside us. All these pictures of that warm smile, that LAUGH, having a good time. May these stories and memories always be at the forefront, and the generations carry it forward as the ripples from one amazing life. We love you more than You know.

Xoxo Dawn, Graeme, Cara and Arden.
