Chad M. Moore - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Chad M. Moore

June 15, 1972 - September 8, 2013

Mr. Chad Marcus Oran Moore, age 41, of Newark, DE, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 8, 2013.
Born in Salisbury, MD, on June 15, 1972, Mr. Moore proudly served his country for four years in the US Navy aboard the USS Shenandoah. In civilian life, he made his career as an HVAC technician and was employed with Delaware Heating and Air Conditioning.
Active in Boy Scouts in his youth, Mr. Moore was an avid outdoorsman throughout his life; he greatly enjoyed hiking and spending time in the woods. As a child, he played baseball with the Newark American League and football with local youth clubs. He remained an avid sports fan and looked forward to cheering each season for his favorite teams, the Cowboys and the Yankees.
Most of all, Mr. Moore delighted in spending time with his family–especially his precious children. Whether enjoying the family’s traditional Sunday crab feasts or simply sharing a quiet evening together, he was always at his happiest when in the company of his beloved family and his favorite pet dogs. A loyal son, brother, and father, he will be sadly missed by the many people who loved him. His bravery, toughness, and sense of honor will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children, Khorey Christopher Lance Moore, Caylee Taylor Moore, and Caeden Marcus Moore; parents, William R. Moore, Jr. and Sue Taylor Moore; brother, Bradley Douglas Moore, his wife, Amanda, and their children, Logan, Aubrey, and Leah; sister, Christina Moore Baul and her husband, Jon; maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Oran Taylor; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. William Smart and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Taylor; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Christopher Lance Dennis.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, September 13th, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 14th, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, P.O. Box 308, Wilmington, DE 19899.
