Charles H. Crombie
Mr. Charles H. Crombie, age 72, of New Castle, DE, died on Friday, December 3, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Born in Christian, KY, on March 27, 1938, Mr. Crombie was the son of the late Henry H. Crombie and Juanita Cannon Crombie. He made his career as a professional truck driver and retired from the Peninsula Trucking Company.
An expert marksman and avid outdoorsman throughout his life, Mr. Crombie was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association, the North American Hunting Club, and the Wilmington Trapshooting Association.
His beloved wife, Charlotte Motto Crombie, died on September 30, 2010. He is survived by his daughters, Denise A. Rishel (Frank) of New Castle, DE, Norma J. Rash of Newark, DE, Kristine S. Smalley (Robert) of Middletown, DE, Patricia Horne (Todd) of Spokane, WA, Cheryl Crombie (Nick) of Spokane, WA, JoBeth Mitchell of Seattle, WA, and Gail Massey (Justin) of Paducah, KY; sisters, Sue Thompson of Kuttawa, KY, and Myra Strickland (Richard) of Hopkinsville, KY; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
