Charles Henry Foraker, Jr., age 97, of Dunedin, FL and formerly of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.

Born in Woodland Beach, DE, he moved to Florida in 1983 from New Castle, DE. For a great part of his life, Charles worked as a realtor and an insurance broker in DE. He was a 69-year member of St. Johns Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 2 of New Castle, DE; Scottish Rite 32° Mason; Charter member of Nur Shrine Temple, DE; Past Director and Impresario Emeritus of Royal Order of Jesters, Delaware Court 164; and of Sons of the American Revolution.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Fannie Foraker, his sister Frances Neel, and by his beloved wife of 69 years, Gertrude.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Trudy and Jim Alexander of Atlanta, GA; Chuck and Diane Foraker of Seminole, FL; and Debby and Joe Pullan of New Castle, DE; brothers and spouses, Jacob and Doris Foraker of Sebring, FL, and Warner T. and Gail Foraker of Delaware City, DE; granddaughters and spouses, Deirdre and Morgan McClure of Atlanta, GA; Sarah and Andy Wolford of Middletown, DE; Rebecca Pullan of New Castle, DE; Amy Hunter of PA; and Jill Foraker of Seminole, FL; and by 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until Noon on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a Masonic service will begin at 12 Noon and a funeral service will immediately follow. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2200 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607 or to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, FL 33760.
