Charlotte Ann Tyre, age 84, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2016.

Born in Wilmington, DE on July 10, 1932, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Charles B. Richardson and Gladys B. Stewart. She made her career as a bus driver with Knotts Bus Company, retiring in 1993, after 30 years of dedicated service.

In her leisure time, Charlotte enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. She loved her family with all she was and adored every moment she spent in their company. Charlotte was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Tyre, Jr.; and son, John E. Tyre III. Charlotte is survived by her children, Judith L. Haynes (Irvin) of Charleston, SC, Emily “Beth” Montgomery of Wilmington, Charles R. Tyre (Tara) of Middletown and Jim Stockwell of Deep Water, NJ; close family members, Steve and Brenda Morris; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charlotte’s memory may be made to Seasons Hospice of Delaware,220 Continental Drive, Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713.
