Born March 29, 1972

Christopher Ronald Pyle, age 44, of Elkton, MD, passed away tragically along with his father, William R. Pyle, at the family’s home as a result of a house fire which occurred on Monday, October 17, 2016.

Chris was born in Wilmington, DE on March 29, 1972, and was the son of the late William R. Pyle and Carol D. Pyle . He worked in the construction industry for a number of years and was self-employed.
Chris adored his children and was actively involved in their lives. He enjoyed playing softball and spending time with his friends in his spare time.

In addition to his father, Chris was preceded in death by his daughter, Layla Elise Pyle. He is survived by his mother, Carol D. Pyle of Newark, DE; children, Aiden, Bianca and Elise Pyle, and their mother, Maple Soukup, all of Wilmington, DE; sisters, Wendy L. Johnson of Elkton, MD and Dawn Pyle of Newark, DE; and nieces, Alison and Kristen Johnson.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 Noon on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 15 Polly Drummond Hill Rd, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will be held at 12 Noon. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to assist with funeral expenses and education costs for Chris’ children. Contributions can be made by visiting

  • I did not know Chris for a long time… But a long time was not needed. Absolutley wonderful person.

  • I just ran into Chris a few weeks ago at the movies. He approached me to talk. I wish i knew that was going to be the last time I had the pleasure of talking to him. This is such a great loss and he and his father Ronnie will be missed by many. God bless Carol, Dawn, Wendy, the whole Pyle family, Chris’ children, Maple, and all of their very eear friends like Shawn and Rob. I pray that you begin to heal and know that there are two angels looking down on you from heaven. You will all be reunited again.

  • It’s been years since I’ve seen Chris but I remember him being a wonderful, fun and loving person. So sorry this tragedy occurred. May God bless his children and family.

  • I was shocked to hear of Chris’s ending. He was doing so well and I thoroughly enjoyed being with him. I’m so glad he got to spend the last few weeks with his dad doing what they loved to do together.
