Connie L. Brooks, age 66, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018.

Born in Wilmington,DE on January 4, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Carl E. Johnson, Sr. and Norma Winifred (Hewitt) Bauer. Connie made her career as a hazmat technician with Agilent Technologies in New Castle, retiring after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and listening to the preachings of Joel Osteen.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wade Brooks, Jr; daughter, Sherry Lynn Potter; son, Matthew J. Johnson, Sr.; and brother, Carl Johnson, Jr. She is survived by her son, Billy E. Potter, Jr. of New Castle; sisters, Sandra C. Smith of Elkton, MD and Elizabeth Gorman of New Castle; 7 grandchildren; and step father, Harry F. Bauer of Bear.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Interment will be held privately.
