Conrad J. Markowski, Uncle Conrad, age 67, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on March 15, 1949, he was a son of the late Boniface A. and Jeanette F. (Niksa) Markowski.
Uncle Conrad proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 199, retiring in 2013. Uncle Conrad was a life member of the Diamond State VFW and was involved with the VFW push mobile race. He enjoyed eating at Cosmos Restaurant and Old Country Buffet.
He is survived by his brothers, Jeffrey Markowski (Diana) of Wilmington, DE and Ray Markowski of Bonita Springs, FL; nephew, George Markowski (Christina); niece, Jessica Markowski (Scott Kelly); and great niece, Milan Markowski.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720, where a visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE, 19701.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Conrad came to work for me in the year 2000. Was suppose to be for a three day job. I believe he ending up staying till 2010. Great worker and funny man when he got rolling on one of his stories. Will be surely missed. God bless you Conrad.

I was Corad’s Service Officer with Vietnam Veterans of America. I am so saddened by Conrads passing. He would always call me at Christmas and sing We Wish You A Merry Christmas . Welcome Home Brother.
