Constance Ann Connie David, age 66, of Port Penn, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
A native Delawarean, Connie was born in Wilmington on May 2, 1949. She made her career with the DuPont Company, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. In her leisure time, Connie loved visiting the beach, especially with her great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William C. David; her mother, Anna V. Poore; and a brother, Raymond. Connie is survived by her son, George H. Marshall III; daughter, Susan Tjaden; siblings, Billy, Penny, Anna, Lily, Jody, Dorothy, Rena and Charlotte; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE, where a visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 Noon. Interment will be held at 1 pm on Monday afternoon, August 24, 2015 in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
