Constance R. Connie Miller, age 62, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 1, 2015.

Connie was born in Wilmington, DE on March 24, 1953 and was a daughter of the late Harry Reinberger and Edna (Balser) Reinberger. She worked as a cashier for Acme for many years and was well loved by her customers. After leaving Acme, Connie opened her own daycare and lovingly cared for each and every child she was entrusted with.

Strong in her faith, she was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in New Castle. Connie was a hardworking and caring individual who enjoyed helping others. She will always be remembered as a loving mom, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her companion of more than 20 years, Bill D. Schaeffer. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Miller (Chris Edler); brother, Thomas Reinberger; sisters, Debra Bryner (Frederick) and Sara Powell (Rick Johns); and her faithful canine companion, Ollie.

Services will be held privately.

  • Connie you took care of our kids like they were your own. I will always treasure that in you. You put other people first before yourself. We loved your mom and dad as they took us under their wings. I pray for Amanda as she is the liight of your life. God truly did gain an Angel in you
