David A. Scullion

Born September 2, 1955

David A. Scullion, age 58, of Boothwyn, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Riddle Memorial Hospital after a long battle with health complications.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware on September 2, 1955, David was a son of the late William L. Scullion, Sr. and Virginia K. Trout. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. David made his career as a commericial painter and electrician in the building industry.

He enjoyed working around the house and playing chess. Above all else, David cherished time spent with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Broadwater. David is survived by his beloved wife, Weldonna Spaulding Scullion; children, Kathaleen S. Carrabino (Michael) of Boothwyn, PA, David Scullion, II (Mellisa) of VA, Daniel Scullion of VA, Amber Scullion of Wilmington, DE, Breia Scullion of Wilmington, DE and his pretty angel, Ashley N. Scullion (David Brockway) of Boothwyn, PA; brother, William L. Scullion, Jr. (Joanne) of Bear, DE; sister, Beverly Foster (Jerry) of Clayton, DE; stepson, Jamie M. DiFabio of Boothwyn, PA; and 12 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday morning, June 9, 2014, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where family and friends may visit from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the Dialysis Association, 100 W. 10th St., Ste. 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the American Cancer Society 92 Read’s Way, Ste. 205 New Castle, DE 19720.
