8 Condolences for David C. Murphy

  • One of the kindess men I have ever met.May you rest in peace
    my brother. Love Pete

  • God bless your family during this time. Be at peace David….

  • Mrs. Murphy, Jane, Susan….I was saddened to learn of David’s passing, I last saw him at a UD football game. He was always happy to talk and happy to be at the game, it was always a pleasure to run into him! Funny how memories get triggered….

A couple of weeks ago I walked past a bucket of Wiffle Balls and bats in my garage and I thought of all those summers playing Wiffle Ball with David in your driveway. For some reason we always played in YOUR driveway! The games never ended at a prescribed score or number of innings, no the game usually ended with the ball crashing loudly into the screen door many times until Mrs. Murphy couldn’t take it any longer, would scold us and we would all scatter, like we were scared…….only to return and do it all over again later that afternoon, all summer long!

  • I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to David’s family during this difficult time. I worked with David during his time at NAPA Auto Parts and got to know him pretty well over the last couple years. I really enjoyed discussing sports with him, especially college football. He had a subtle, sly sense of humor; sometimes after a conversation, a word or a phrase David used would pop back in your head, and you would start laughing. Even with the challenges he had to deal with, David was the kind of person that you sought out when you were having a bad day, because you knew talking to him would make it better.

David was a good man and I will miss him very much.

  • Dearest Eleanor, Jane and Susan along with your loved ones. Red and I were devastated by the passing of David. A generous, loving, and kind young man, who was loved and admired by our family, will surely be missed but
    Remembered always.
God Bless your family and always know we
    Love you all
    DD and Red
