David R. Henry, age 32, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2017.

A native Delawarean, David was born in Newark on April 19, 1985, and was the son of Edward E. Henry and the late Barbara (Farra) Henry.

David will be remembered for his love of sports and for his big-hearted and giving personality. Above all else, he was a devoted son, father, and brother who will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara and nephew, Justin R. Henry, Jr. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Edward E. and Stephanie M. Henry of Wilmington; daughter, Saniyah M. Henry; brothers, Justin R. and Joseph E. Henry; nephews, Juscir S. Henry, Bradford W. Martin, and Corey D. Selby; best friend and companion, Sanette Y. Selby; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 Noon on Monday, September 18, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
