  • Our Dearest Lorri,
It is so sad that a valiant and hard-fought battle has been lost and our world will never be the same without a very special lady. You were the strongest woman we have ever known. Throughout your journey of many, many surgeries and treatments, you faced each new challenge with that wonderful sense of humor we all so dearly loved. The doctors and nurses were always amazed that no matter what they did to you, you always had a smile on your face and an endearing chuckle. Thank goodness after all those surgeries, the one thing they could never remove was your wonderful sense of humor! You recently stated,”Although I have been sick my whole life, I’ve been very lucky in life and it’s been a good ride.” You reveled in the fact that Ken, Stacey, and Kenny were so wonderful to you and for that you were so grateful, and felt so lucky to be blessed with having them and Mike and Kaitlin in your life. Your beautiful smile and keen wit made everyone’s journey on this earth a whole lot easier to bear. You certainly will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. May you rest in peace- you certainly do deserve it.
    With all our love,
    Art & Pat Olsen

  • Stacey and family,
I was so sorry to see that your mom had passed away. I remember your mom well from our times of growing up together at the Yorklyn Pool and school. Your mom could always make us laugh! May you all find comfort through good memories and know that she will always be with you.

  • Aunt Lor,

Our family is so very thankful for all the great memories of the times we spent together and for how much you genuinely cared for us. You were a fun-loving person with such an infectious sense of humor. You impacted our lives in so many beneficial ways. Patty will be eternally grateful that you passed on your quilting skills and fondly recalls the many “Yo-Yo” projects you worked on together. John fondly remembers when you taught him how to make the “Home-Alone” face and wishes he could make you laugh one more time.

You were always such a delight to be around and we will forever miss your positive outlook (no matter what obstacles you were confronting) and we will always strive to follow your excellent example.
Uncle Ken, Kenny, Stacey, Mike and Kaitlin – you are in our thoughts and you have our deepest sympathies.

    Love always,
Art, Sue, Artie, John and Patty Olsen

  • If tears could build a stairway,
    and memories a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
    to bring you back again.

I’ll never forget you. You were a very special person in my life. Certain people touch your life, and you were certainly one of them. My thoughts are always with you. I will always cherish our memories together. I will always love you.

  • I was so blessed to know Lorri by our love of sewing. She was the best entertainer and even when she was in bed and I would visit she kept me constantly entertained. She cared more about others than herself and wanted to make them comfortable and happy. Lorri never complained about her poor health but always was concerned about how others were. Her strength and courage and humor were certainly remarkable. Her love for her family and her most precious Kaitlin was so strong. I always loved to hear about Kaitlin as the most perfect grandchild and how Lorri’s life was so enriched by her. She shared my joy when I became a grandmother and was always asking about Danielle, Cayden and James.
Lorri was a remarkable friend and will be dearly missed. May God bless and comfort all her family and friends.
    Love, Judy (American Judy!)

  • Hi Beth,

Thank you so much for the kind words about Mom. While we were going through pictures for the funeral, Dad found a picture of you and I at our first communion. It looks just like my daughter Kaitlin (8) and her best friend Camryn. Father Jackson gave us our first communion and is going to hold mom’s service tomorrow.

I hope all is well with you. Thank you again for the kind words.

    Love – Stacey

  • Although I never got the chance to “meet” you, I felt as if I had known you for years through Kenny. Your genuine concern for me when I was diagnosed stage 4 absolutely took me aback. Here you were fighting your own battles, and you were there supporting me in mine. You definitely were the sunshine in Kennys life and I express my deepest condolences to the entire family. You were a warrior! And I dedicate my current fight to not only my loved ones, but to you… May God hold you in his arms and be able to comfort your family in this tragic loss…

With much love and respect and may you rest in paradise,

    Diana Wertz
