Donald C. Tribit, Jr.

Donald C. Tribit, Jr., age 67, of Landenberg, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 3, 2017.

Don was born in Wilmington, DE on August 4, 1949, and was the son of the late Donald C. Tribit, Sr. and Anne W. Tribit. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.

An antiques expert, Don utilized over 48 years of combined research and experience in antiques appraising and selling at various antique malls. He held a number of professional appraisal certificates, bought, sold and restored countless antiques and was particularly interested in antique bottle digging.

He also worked during this time for Dutch Country Auctions in Wilmington (The Stamp Center) as an expert in stamp and coin auction lotting and appraising. He created entire coin auctions for William Bunch Auction House, Chadds Ford, PA. In addition, he gave both written and verbal coin appraisals for many individuals and businesses.

Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda L. (Krapf) Tribit; daughter, Tammy L. Motahar of Elkton, MD, her husband Koorosh; granddaughter, Mojdeh L. Motahar; sister, Virginia Topkis of Nottingham, PA; nephew, Peter Topkis; and great nephew, Greg Vermillion.

A Celebration of Life will be held on on Monday, May 15, 2017 with visitation for family and friends from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm; followed by a luncheon at William Bunch Auction House, One Hillman Drive (0.4 miles south of Rt. 1 on 202 southbound) Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Internment will be private and held with military honors at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
