  • You are so greatly missed. A cousin, a friend, a great Jaycee, and even more importantly, a wonderful young man. You’ve touched us all more than you’ve ever probably realized. Love you.

  • It’s so hard to accept that you’re gone. You had so much living left to do. It was a pleasure to be a part of your Jaycee team and to have you as a friend. In 2015 everything you touched turned to gold. To this day, everywhere I look I see you & how involved you were in plans to make things better, involving as many people as possible, making an impact on your community. You sure are missed. Gone but not forgotten. RIP my dear friend.

  • I’m just learning this tragic news and am so incredibly sorry for such a terrible loss! Donny was such a great guy with a huge heart and so much dedication to the community through the Jaycees. I haven’t seen him in years but remember his kind spirit and how wonderful a couple he made with his wife, Nicole. My heart breaks for she and his family. Donny, you will be severely missed by all the people you touched!

  • I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with your family.

  • Donald was a great man, so kind, funny, caring. He brought so much to JCI, it was a pleasure to serve with him last year on yhe National Board of Directors. He was a wonderful voice and leader for the Delaware Jaycees. He will very much be missed. Peace and comfort to his family and close friends.

  • Donnie,
I am in shock and disbelief. You were my buddy and I am heartbroken to learn of your passing. We had fun working together and I am glad we got to keep in touch a little after we left DC. I am glad we got to meet for coffee not that long ago and catch up with each other. You will be missed. I am sorry your time was so short. Rest in peace.
    Amber

  • My heart is filled with so much safness. Donnie was an exemplary young man who I am proud to have known since he was a boy. Couldn’t have been more proud of him. He was a gentle giant teddy bear. All my prayers go to Leslie, Rick, Aunt Betty, Linda , Nichole, and Ricky, his wife Nicole and the rest of our family. Love you Donnie.

  • So sorry for your loss. I was Donnie’s supervisor well over 10 years ago. He was al kind and bright person. He was always there for a good story or to make us all laugh. My thoughts go out to those that were close to him. I know he will be missed.

  • I cannot express how lost I feel without you Donnie! You will forever be in my heart! You were my mentor and like a brother!

  • Please accept the condolences and thoughts from the Virginia JCI Senate. While I never had the opportunity to meet Donnie, I still mourn the loss of a fellow Jaycee. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

  • It’s hard to come up with any words that express how sorry I am to hear about Donnie’s passing. When I found out Wednesday night, it felt like the air was knocked out of my lungs. I couldn’t believe it and still can’t. I can’t possibly know what you’re going through, but I deeply mourn the loss of such a great friend – a great guy who showed his commitment to volunteerism and his friends. I’ll never forget meeting Donnie through the Jaycees, and how friendly and inclusive he was from the start – a trait his wife Nicole shares. We all became fast friends, thanks to Donnie’s outgoing personality and his willingness to share his praise of his friends so immediately and openly. He was an ally and confidant for me during my time on the Wilmington Jaycees board, and I don’t know when I’ll be able to accept his passing. Rest in peace, friend. You were such bright light in this world. I hope you’re looking down on us from heaven as we mourn your physical loss and celebrate having known you.

  • Nicole, my heart is broken for you. I am so sorry for this loss. I appreciate that I got to know Donnie for many years and spend time with the both of you together.

I will always be here for you my dearest friend.

    XOXO

    Sherry
