Doris Ann Grant, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017, with her family at her side.
Doris was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. She retired from the DuPont Company after 36 years of service at the Chestnut Run site.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Grant; parents, Edward G. and Anna May (Woodward) Starr; and siblings, Harvey, Ruth, Edward, and Dorothy. She is survived by her sons, Edward G. Grant and his wife, Barbara, Paul L. Grant, and George W. Grant; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Deptula, Edward G. Grant, Jr., and Dawn Nicole Miller; 12 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care, especially her nurse, Debbie.
A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday morning, July 27, 2017, at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. and DuPont Rd., Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Heartland Hospice, 256 Chapman Rd., Ste. 102, Newark, DE 19702.
