Doug’s family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Christiana Care and Select Specialty Hospitals, Cardiology Physicians and Compassionate Care Hospice for the exceptional care they provided and also to Chaplain Susan Clark for her support and guidance.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where family and friends may visit from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. and DuPont Rd., Wilmington, DE.

Vicky, I am so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. I have enjoyed yours and Doug’s friendship, and thank you for that. You have been a steadfast friend during all my years with DuPont and a valuable confidant, and ‘therapist’ for all those times I needed a sympathetic ear. Thank you for that as well! I say with all sincerity that if there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to let me know – even if it’s just a friend to talk to. I offer my heartfelt condolences, as well as a sympathetic caring ear. God Bless you Vicky –
