Born January 7, 1934

Edith Jane Janie Cecconi, age 80, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 to join her beloved husband, Bill, with whom she had shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Altoona, PA on January 7, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Hundley and Gladys Lannon Hundley. Jane graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA, where she met her lifelong friend, Pat Kerezsi. She worked for MBNA for a number of years, retiring in 1997.

Of all her many interests, Jane’s love and passion for her family was endless and provided them with an extremely happy and loving home. In her earlier years she was a Girl Scout Leader for Troop 475 and enjoyed attending many baseball games and dance recitals. Throughout the years, she enjoyed collecting cat figurines. During her retirement years, Jane and Bill enjoyed vacationing with their family in Port Aransas, TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecconi; brother, Donald Hundley and son-in-law, David C. Tartaglio, Sr.

Jane’s love, quiet strength and warm heart will be dearly missed and forever cherished by her sons, William Cecconi (Robin) and Donald Cecconi (Gigi); daughter, Jan Marie Tartaglio; twin brother, Paul E. Hundley; six grandchildren, David Tartaglio, Jr., Bill Cecconi, Jr., Donny Cecconi, Patrick Cecconi, Melissa Cecconi and Nadia Sosa; four great-grandchildren; several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews and her faithful feline companion, Williamena.

On behalf of Jane’s family, they would like to extend a very special thank you to three true angels on earth, Debra, Dee and Michelle for caring for their mother as if she was their own.
