Edwin Charles Welsh, Sr., age 86, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 9, 2014.

He was a true lifelong learner and in his leisure time spent hours studying astronomy, astrology and the weather. He was an enthusiastic coach and mentor to his children when they participated in youth sports and he supported them in everything they did. Above all else, Mr. Welsh was a devoted family man who was happiest in the company of his beloved wife, children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.
