  • Hi Cindy,
Thanks so much for your comment. That means alot to me (and my Dad) to hear from one of my mom’s students. I am a teacher myself but did not get to see my mom as a teacher. I was the last baby to come along and by that time she did not do much elementary teaching anymore. It is so nice to hear about that time of her life.
    God Bless,
    Carolyn

  • Dear Bennett and family,

I remember you and Liz from Kingswood United Methodist. Also, in the summer of 1977(?), I remember your hospitality and stories around the dinner table when Dennis Shelalis and I stayed with your family for a few days in Blacksburg, VA. My wife and I remembered you this evening as we prayed and sang worship songs (one of them being “I Will Rise” by Chris Tomlin). We trust you take comfort in knowing Liz is with our Lord now.

  • Dear Cole & Bennett Family, My wife and I are very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear love one. We know this is a very difficult time for you. We wanted to share something with you that has encouraged us during times like these. It is comforting to know that Almighty God never meant for us to experience this kind of pain.(James1:13)(Romans 5:12) He has made provisions through his son Jesus to awaken all our love ones asleep in death.(John 5:28,29) God has also promised to wipe away all tears, pain, sorrow and even death forever.(Revelation 21:4,5) God’s promises in the bible will soon be fulfilled. They give us hope and comfort knowing that soon we will see our love ones again.(Psalms 37:10,11&29) My wife and I pray that your family find some peace and comfort in the Bible’s promises for the future.
