Elizabeth Fawcett-Brown, age 58, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

A native Delawarean, Elizabeth was born in Wilmington on August 30, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Floyd E. Sarver, Sr. and Elizabeth F. (Hall) Sarver. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, of nearly 17 years, Darryl S. Brown; children, Shannan Fowler-Smith (Nathan), Rachel Fawcett, Kelly Pecou (Jamal) and William Fawcett III; 4 brothers; and grandchildren, Andre Roberts, Mikhail Fawcett, Aaliyah Pecou, Keith Fowler, Grace Fawcett, Jackson Pecou, Reyna Pecou, Charlotte Pecou and Jonah Pecou.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Friday morning, April 1, 2016, at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, Garfield Park, New Castle, DE, where a visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read’s Way, Ste. 205, New Castle, DE 19720.

  • My Condolences to the family in this time of sorrow….Liz was a great person and she will be missed and never forgotten.
    I grew up in Collins Park went to school and hung around with Liz back in the school days she is somebody you can never forget one of the sweetest lady’s around.
    She is at peace now no more suffering or pain she is up there dancing away cause she is free as a bird

    I can’t begin to imagine what you all are feeling but know that you are hurting and I offer you my deepest and most sincere condolences. Although words can’t begin to express how deeply she’ll be missed, knowing she’s not suffering nor in pain anymore I pray offers you some bit of comfort.
