Ella Mae (David) Chapman, age 91, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2016.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on September 17, 1924, Ella was a daughter of the late William and Edna (Wright) David.
In addition to her parents, Ella is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Chappy Chapman, Sr.; brothers, William David, Charles David, and Elwood David. She is survived by stepson, Albert Chapman, Jr. of New Castle, DE; sister, Doris Paola of Elsmere, DE; brother, Martin David of Wilmington, DE; and 1 granddaughter, Suzanne Williams of Newark, DE.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon, January 26, 2016 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or to the Elsmere Presbyterian Church, 606 New Rd, Wilmington, DE 19805.
