Ellen L. Lutz

Ellen L. Lutz, age 56, of Dover, DE, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Born in New Castle, DE on January 15, 1959, Ellen was a daughter of the late Harry and Lucille Lutz. She was employed for many years with KSI (Kenton Sussex Industries) then went on to a day program with Easter Seals in Dover.

Ellen loved being around her friends and family, going to the beach, listening to music and dancing. Most of all, she adored going for car rides and shopping with Donita Taylor and her best friend, Teresa Evans. Donita took great care of Ellen just like a mother would.

She is survived by her siblings, Nancy Byrd (Rob), Linda Baldwin (Butch), David Lutz (Hazel), Charles Lutz, Bernadette Martin, and Samuel Lutz; many nephews and nieces; her extended family, Trisha Scott, Pam Cannon, Linda Masten, Donita Taylor; and so many others also survive her at West Over in Dover.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of Ellen’s life, which will be held at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, May 9, 2015 at her Smyrna home located at 1664 Wheatleys Pond Road, Smyrna DE 19977. Ellen will be laid to rest privately, next to her parents in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ellen L. Lutz Memorial Fund, c/o 1664 Wheatley’s Pond Road, Smyrna DE 19977.
