Mrs. Ellenmarie Caudill, age 39, of Newark, DE, went to be with the angels on Friday, July 9, 2010, surrounded by her beloved family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Subic Bay, Philippines on April 16, 1971, Ellen moved to Delaware with her family as a child and would go on to graduate from Concord High School. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant with the Governor Bacon Health Center in Delaware City prior to her illness. Active in her community, she also worked for a time in the cafeteria of the Gauger-Cobbs Middle School and was a member of Holy Angels parish.
A talented homemaker throughout her life, Ellen was devoted to her family and delighted in spending time with them. She also enjoyed shopping trips with friends. Well known for her generous and compassionate nature, Ellen will be sadly missed by the many people who loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 9 years, Garry D. Caudill; children, Edward E. Lewis III, Billina E. Lewis, Samantha M. Lewis, Derek D. Caudill, Lauren N. Caudill, and Dylan M. Caudill, all at home; parents, Berton Parker, Sr. and Billina Sollano Parker of Marydel, DE; sisters, Imelda Quesenberry of El Paso, TX, and Jane Simonsen of Marydel, DE; brother, Berton Parker, Jr. of Newark, DE; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE 19711. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Holy Angels R.C. Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
