  • To the Mutschler Family:

Woody was a trusted and beloved colleague at QPS and was amazing in both his productivity and accuracy in his work. But what set Woody apart was the humanity and the caring that he expressed each day. He also displayed a great sense of humor! We had adjoining offices for more than 8 years and I was lucky enough to witness his love for his family and friends, and his sincere caring for the employees of QPS. I believe God has set aside a special place for Woody in Heaven. May God bless you, his family, with peace and may wonderful memories help sustain you at this difficult time.

  • A great guy and colleague. I will forever remember the water cooler chats at QPS praising the Phillies/Eagles when they were going good and trashing them ever so when they were bad.

My deepest sympathies to Sharon and the family.

    Jerry Gromelski

He made a difference and will be sorely missed by the softball community.

  • Sorry for your loss, we are keeping your family in our prayers. Way to young, but his memories will be with you. From the Moon Family.

  • Dear Sharon

Since I am away most of the time I really never got a chance to know Woody. My memories of him is riding his tractor lawn mower cutting the grass. He would look up and we would exchange waves as I drove away. Having read all the condolences here about Woody with his sense of humor, his compassion for people and his love of family and let’s not forget The Phillies and the Eagles, it is my loss that I missed knowing him as others do. How fortunate you are to have had 48 years with him and he with you. And how I know you wish it could have been longer. Sharon although it may not be the same just know that he will always be with you and you know what I mean. Just remember you are not only in my thoughts and prayers but I am here for you if you need me.

    Hugs,
    Arlene

  • Dear Sharon and Family,

I feel lucky to have worked with Woody in the same department for so many years. Especially at the last several years before his retirement, he had been my manager. I have witnessed his dedication to his family and his work, and his kindness to his colleagues.

Right after his retirement from QPS, he came back to the company to help. For the first half year in 2015, he has helped me to worked on the field that I had never explored before. During that period of time, I again have witnessed his expertise in his profession, and his patience to this novice coworker.

Even when several of his old colleagues got together with him, and at that time he was very illed, he asked how our children, families were doing…

I shall always remember his caring heart toward people.

May our Lord comfort you, grant peace to you.

    Sue-Fong

  • Karen and I are so sorry and Its so important that you always remember the happy times. • I have great memories of “Woodman” from many years ago. He gave me one of my first jobs and looked out for me. He also provided so much fun for us in our High School years. I am grateful to have had him as an influence in my early years. My heart goes out to all of you!

  • In sympathy for your loss.

  • It was shocking to learn Woody’s passing last night, even though I knew he was very ill. As I have retired from QPS about the same time as Woody, I always feel that special bonding and that Woody was my thoughtful and humorous brother and colleague. Many fond memories of Woody, his professionalism, his gentle and thoughtful heart, his great sense of humor, and his birthday wishes on each of my birthdays while I was at QPS,…..

Woody, rest in peace, you will always be dearly missed!

  • Dear Sharon and family,

I am so very sorry for your loss. Sharon, 48 years is a long time, but never long enough when you love someone deeply.

I’ve learned that grief is not linear. It does not move in a straight line as some people think when they say, “Each day will get better.” Grief can zig zag all over the place — backwards, forwards, every which way … and sometimes all in the same day, month or year. So know that you are not going crazy.

Take good care of yourself, and be patient with yourself as you heal.

    With deepest sympathy,
    Cynthia
