  • Dear Fred, Marlene, Marianne,Max, Monica, Robert and Kayleigh,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of Erica…your wife, your mom and and your grandma She was so proud of her family and treasured her granddaughter, Kayleigh.

I remember the summer holiday I had at the Schulz farm with your mom and your aunt Lydia…it was very hard work for the family but I remember the fun times we had swimming in the LaSalle river with an old tractor tube…and eating lots of aunt Olga’s delicious potato salad.

I remember the many, long road trips your family made all the way to Winnipeg… and there would be all you children with names beginning with “M”. Because I didn’t really know you well, it was always confusing as to who was who (well, not Max).

I remember the wonderful hospitality your mom and dad provided to my mom (aunt Helen) and to me when we made a trip to Philadelphia to celebrate by brother’s birthday in 2008. We also got to meet Marlene and Max…all grown up now. How special to see where you lived… so far from Winnipeg.

I will miss the Christmas cards that your mom wrote…they always included an inspirational message…”pearly words of wisdom”.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. May God give you comfort and surround you all with His loving arms.
    Love Hildi

  • I’m sorry this message is so late. I lost contact with Erica when my family moved from Banning Street. Erica was my best friend and I hers. I always loved going into the Schultz home, they were all so kind to me. Erica found me on facebook just a few months ago and I was so excited. I wondered why she didn’t reply. It is with great sorrow I read about her passing. She was so gentle I’ll always be grateful she was my friend. Thank you Erica.
