He won many farming awards over the years, including the 15 Ton Tomato Club Award, Delaware Tomato King of 1959, Take Pride in America Farm Award, and the Delaware Farm of Distinction Award in 1987. For relaxation in the winter months, he enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends.

Mickey and Estella were especially well known for their farms annual pick your own strawberries. People traveled for many miles each spring to pick delicious strawberries and to share Estellas wonderful recipes.
