********SPECIAL ALERT: Due to a large-scale power outage in the area, the visitation and service for Mrs. Caruso have been moved to Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Visitation is 10 am until 11 am, service is at 11 am. Interment will follow.

Faith C. Caruso, age 78, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully at home, while surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

Faith was born in Riverton, NJ on April 24, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Mary (Johnson) Bell. In addition to caring for her family, she made her career with the Wilmington News Journal, where she worked as a district manager and in circulation for 47 years.

Faith loved family, and opened her heart and home to countless children while serving as a foster parent for 49 years. She adored her family and was happiest in their company. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Faith was compassionate and generous and will be very dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Steven and Kristopher Caruso; brother, John Bell; and sister, Joan Sheck. Faith is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dominic M. Caruso; children, David Caruso (Tricia) of Folsom, CA, Cathleen Borruto (James) of Smyrna, Danny Caruso (Laura) of New Castle, Angela Caruso of Philadelphia, PA, Louis Caruso of North Carolina, and Sandra Caruso of Bear; and grandchildren, Tucker, Taylor, Tessa, and Anton.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday morning, July 12, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Faith’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713.
