In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth Darby, Julia Cobbs, Mary Chambers, Peter George and Irene McConnell. Florence is survived by her niece, Hannah Koziski and husband Michael of Wilmington.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rockland Place, the many aides at Bayada Home Health Care and the staff of Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Florence.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday morning, August 27, 2014, at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, DE, with interment to follow.

One Condolence for Florence A. George

  • My sympathy to the family on the passing of Florence George.

I would like you to know that my family is related to the “George” family who lived on
6th & N. Scott St. in Wilmington. My great-grandfather was Antonio George & my entire
family grew up at St. Anthony of Padua Parish. My Aunt Florence (Parisi) George was
married to my paternal grandmother’s brother, Peter George (he was the owner of a tile
    company).
Do you think we could possibly be related? Just wondering.

    May Florence rest in peace.
