Francis D. Talarowski  

Francis D. Talarowski, age 79, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2015.

A native Delawarean, Francis was born in Wilmington on January 23, 1936, and was a son of the late of Aloisius and Lucille (Rosiak) Talarowski.  He made his career as a laboratory technician with Hercules, retiring in 2001 after 44 years of dedicated employment.

A devout Catholic, Francis was a longtime and active parishioner of St. John the Baptist-Holy Angels R.C. Church.  He was an avid fisherman and a loyal Philadelphia Phillies fan.  Above all else, Francis was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be very dearly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine “Kay” (Callahan) Talarowski.  Francis is survived by his children, Stephen Talarowski (Crystal) of Newark, DE, Andrew Talarowski (Margaret) of Claymont, DE, Paula Talarowski of Newark, DE and Katherine Raiford (Jon) of Newark, DE; sisters, Rita Francisco (Harry), Regina Renai and Dorothy Williams all of Wilmington, DE; sisters in law, Mabel Galu of Highland Falls, NY and Rosa Callahan of Claymont, DE; and grandchildren, Kaitlin, Sara, David, Zachary, Daniel and Haley.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Monday evening, December 14, 2015 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am on Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015, at Holy Angels R.C. Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Delaware, 619 South College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716.
